What We Test

IgG

As the body’s antibody response matures, IgM antibodies are gradually replaced by another class of antibodies, immunoglobulin G (IgG). IgG antibodies are built to beat the virus if they attack us again in the future. Clinically, measured IgG antibodies are generally considered to be indicative of an individual’s immune status to particular viruses. Our labs have validated their tests with a resulting sensitivity (this identifies the true positive rate) of 98.5% and a specificity (this identifies the true negative rate) of 98.5%.
